-Wind-

The wind blows
And a shiver runs through me
As the howling rises
And echos in my ear.
Mother Nature is throwing a fit-
A small child in the midst of a temper tantrum.
How should we pacify her?
How should we calm the raging storm?
The answer is hidden in the gusts
Just out of reach.

NaPoWriMo 2017 Day 5

-Knowledge Vacation-

Like a traveler packing for a month long vacation
I've shoved more knowledge into my brain
In 3 days than should reasonably fit.
Someone should sit on my head
To help me keep it all in.
Vacation is not far off,
But I'll have to finish packing first.

NaPoWriMo 2017 Day 4

-Exhausted-

Physically I haven't been exhausted
Yet
But mentally I've run a marathon
And swam the English Channel
And climbed the Statue of Liberty
And poured sand into the inner workings of my brain.
And now,
Suddenly,
I'm physically exhausted too.

-Relearing-

Starting all over
Again
I feel as if I just learned a whole life
Only to decide I want another
Not completely new
But just different enough
It's like teaching yourself to walk
After a car crash,
It's hard but not impossible.
I'll recover
Once I get my balance again

Lazy days
When all I want to do
Is sit at home
And do nothing.

Well this April I'm not expecting rain.
My forecast is sunshine and rainbows,
My outlook positive and hopeful.
It's spring, a time for new beginnings,
As it has been every year.
