In The Shower

As the water pours down
Over my head
Down my shoulders
Across my back
To my feet

I reach my arms
Above my head
And run my purple painted
Finger nails
Through my hair

I sigh and wonder
How I got to this point,
How I'll change it
And if I'll ever grow up
And stop worrying
About how my life will be
