NaPoWriMo 2012 Day 3

-Washington Rain-

I thought spring had finally sprung
And that after a day of work
And sitting still
I'd get a few hours of sunshine.

But I stepped outside
Into the wetness
And the gloom
And the darkness
Of a cold Washington rain.
